Per 915 KAR 1:010, Section 3(1), the Office shall publish a notice of initial license availability on our website, kymedcan.ky.gov, including the time frame during which initial license applications shall be accepted. This notice shall also state the category and number of cannabis business licenses available for issuance at the close of the application period.

The previous initial cannabis busi​ness license period for cultivator, processor, and dispensary application submissions was July 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024. You can view the previous notice of initial cannabis business license application availability here​. ​

The previous initial cannabis buisness license period for safety compliance facility application submissions was November 1, 2024 to November 30​, 2024​. You can read the notice here​.
