Can local jurisdictions opt-out from allowing medical cannabis to be sold in their jurisdiction?

  • Yes.

If my local jurisdiction has opted-out from allowing medical cannabis to be sold, am I able to get medical cannabis in another jurisdiction?

  • Yes, patients will be able to obtain medical cannabis in another jurisdiction.

Will students that qualify for medical cannabis be allowed to take medical cannabis into their school?

  • By July 1, 2024, public school boards shall issue policies governing medical cannabis in schools.​
